Attacks on Congress leaders houses are not on BJP side: Siddaramaiah
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has alleged that the Center is only targeting the Congress and not the BJP after the seizure of more than Rs 300 crore in cash from Jharkhand Congress MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu's residence.
After the Narendra Modi-led BJP government came to power at the Centre, attacks have been targeting Congress leaders. Attacks on the houses of Congress leaders are not unique to the BJP. They also have accumulated illegal wealth and demanded that investigative agencies should raid their houses.
He questioned why BJP members were not targeted and said that if BJP members are attacked, they will get huge money.
A huge amount of cash has been found so far in the search conducted by the Income Tax Department against the Odisha-based Baud Distillery Private Limited and its related companies.
As part of the search, the places associated with Sahu were also searched. The seized amount is expected to reach Rs 290 crore. This is the highest amount of black money detected in the operation so far, he said.
Whoever hoarded the black money was wrong. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that it is not right to attack Congress leaders without letting the Income Tax Department officials work according to the law.
